AROUND ANNAPURNA TREK

The Annapurna Region is the most diverse; culturally and geographically in the central region of Nepal with the total area of 7629 sq. km and the population of around 100,000. Annapurna I( 8091 m), Annapurna II( 7937 m), Annapurna III( 7555m), Annapurna IV(7525 m), Annapurna South( 7219m), Mt. Fishtail( 6997m), Mt. Dhaulagiri( 8167m) are the massif of the range. This is one of the finest examples of Sustainable Tourism Development managed by Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) and Nepal Trust for Nature and Conservation. World’s deepest George, Kali Gandaki George, diverse culture, dense forest, flora and fauna are the major highlights of the region. The trek starts from Besisahar in Lamjung and ends up at Jomsom in Mustang. The construction of seasonal roads in the beginning of trek route shrinks the trekking days. This is the shortest route to cover all the magical beauty of Annapurna Region.  The highest pass, Thorung- la Pass, 5416 meters cross over to Muktinath Temple, the sacred Hindu and Buddhist Temple are the praise worthy of the trek.

DETAILED ITINERARY:

Day 1: Kathmandu Arrival
Kathmandu arrival and transfer to hotel. Check-in and refresh. In the evening,trek briefing followed by Nepali dinner with cultural program.
Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Drive to Besisahar/Kudi(800 m):
After breakfast, drive to Besisahar or Kudi(6/7 hours) along with the Trishuli River. On the middle of way to Pokhara, from Dumre, we start driving to Besisahar or Kudi. Kudi is 30 minutes more drive from Besisahar. Kudi offers you the first glimpse of Manalsu Range.

Day 3: Trek to Sirung(2200 m, 6/7 hours).

Day 4: Trek to Jagat (1300 m, 6/7 hours).
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge.

Day 5: Trek to Dharapani(1960 m, 7/8 hours).
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge.

Day 6: Trek to Chame(2710 m, 5/6 hours).
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge

Day 7: Trek to Pisang(3300 m, 5/6 hours).
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge

Day 8: Trek to Manang(3520 m, 6/7 hours).
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge

Day 9: Rest day in Manang. We can do day trip to Bhojo Gumpa or Gangapurna Lake.

Day 10: Trek to Yak Kharka(4110 m, 3/ 4 hours)
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge.

Day 11: Trek to Thorung Phedi(4600 m, 3/ 4 hours).
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge.

Day 12: Trek to Muktinath(3800 m) crossing Thorung-La Pass(5416 m)- 8 hours.

Day 13: Trek to Marpha(2670 m) via Jomsom(2713 m)-4/5 hours.
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge
Note: From Jomsom, the next day morning on Day 14, you can fly back to Pokhara also.

Day 14: Trek to Lete (2470 m) or Ghasa (2010 m), 6/7 hours).
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge.

Day 15: Trek to Tatopani(1160 m, 5/6 hours). Enjoy hot spring.
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge

Day 16: Trek to Ghorepani (2750 m, 5/6 hours).
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge.

Day 17: Hike to Poon Hill (3210 m/1 hour) and descend down to Tirkhudunga(1500 m,5/6 hours).
Overnight at Tea House/Lodge.

Day 18: Trek to Nayapul(1070 m/4/5 hours) and drive back to Pokhara(1.5 hours).
Overnight at hotel in Pokhara. 

Day 19: Free day in Pokhara.
Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 20: Fly back to Kathmandu.
Eve: Farewell dinner.
Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 21: Breakfast and timely transfer to airport for departure from Kathmandu.
